Aphid larvae.
I HATE them!
You can seen them squirming around inside the body of the cactus they are currently sucking dry like some kind of parasitic Alien
correction: that should be Sciarid fly larvae, those evil little things.

Re: Remedies against mealybugs - what do you think?
Coming back to one of the first posts in the thread, regarding the use of Bi58. Do you use the regular dilution? I've looked at it in the store and it says 1ml in 0,8 litres of water but for an area of 10 square metres. Wouldn't it be much more concentrated when drenching a pot instead of spraying i...

Re: Another Mammillaria ID
Thanks!
I googled it those are the flowers but a lot less fluff.
Is the degree of fluffiness random or due to environmental influences?

Another Mammillaria ID
A friend asked me for the name of this Mammillaria that she has had for about 15 years. It is approximately 20 cm tall and branched dichotomously at about 6-7 cm. The two heads have been growing steadily. It also blooms regularly, the photo was taken three days ago. The spines are small straight and...

Re: Grow Light
They have some new models that you can use as "spots".
And you don't have to buy the metal 'greenhouse'. The lamps are easily screwed to for example IVAR shelving boards for easy height change. Heat development is near to nothing (LED).

Re: Grow Light
In response to jfabiao's question about the Swede's grow lights. They work very well. The only thing is that algae and various molds love them too in case you wanted to use them for sowing. I have the two tiered version, the top tier is a bit closer to the light. The bottom one holds the Tiny Ones a...

Re: Succulent ID appreciated
Many thanks Stuart.
I was looking among the Echeveria, but there are probably many more succulents that have hairy leaves.

Succulent ID appreciated
Dear friends of the succulent variety, The person tidying up the cactus and succulent corner at my local hardware store was about to sweep these two into the bin. Fell from their pots probably. They were lying on top of a small mound of dirt and dust. I don't really know my way around succulents, ca...
