I burnt a number of Eriocyce & Gymno. seedlings in 2008 and many of them regenerated by growing a new plant straight out of the middle of the old one.

I have an Ariocarpus fissuratus purchased in the 70s that has flowered twice and does not appear to have grown at all during that time. ( I think it was an imported specimen). I've never had any fruits on E. micromeris ssp. pachyrhiza, but I certaily agree with leaving the fruits on the plants to dry.

Euan, All the Lophophoras I have are all self-fertile although I do help by x pollination. The germination rate from these seeds is usually in the region of 20%. I've grown this species from seed and it's flowered for the first this week, BUT the flower is closed when I get home from work, so I do not know what the flower is like yet.
