Grit

I read a discussion on here a week or two back regarding grit. To say that I bought a 20kg bag of grit from a local garden centre. It is produced by Westland and is described as ' carefully selected grit between 4 and 7 mm and lime free. At £3.99 for the bag I thought this a good buy?

Re: Strange Spanish succulent?

That's great thanks. My greenhouse is South facing and although has shading and auto vents still can get up to 30° plus during the day. So was wondering if anything else may need a drop of water?

Re: Strange Spanish succulent?

Thanks Liz for the advice. I'm keeping my greenhouse at 6 or 7 degrees at present and as this is my first winter of greenhouse/cactus/succulent ownership, then I hope that's going to be sufficient and i dont lose any plants! Time will tell i guess but its good to know Gollum can go outside with the ...

Re: Strange Spanish succulent?

Thanks for naming this strange creature. I can now read up on it's needs and dislikes. I think come spring it can go in the greenhouse with everyone else (except the Melocactus & Uebelmannia).
Cheers

Strange Spanish succulent?

Hi I picked up this strange creature from a supermarket in Spain. It's survived the journey back to the UK in my handbag but any ideas of the variety/name? Thanks
