Just had a look at mine that I grew from seed from RHS Wisley. Now flowering for the first time, not very large though.
No marks on the leaves just plain green.

Quite remarkable and lucky! I have tried for three years to get the seeds to germinate to no avail.
Have tried some glycol if acid[well it sounds like that!] still nothing.

I have been experimenting with Perlite. It is very light and airy and can be found in Wyevale in relatively small quantities. I mix two coarse sand, twoJI soil compost, and two Perlite. When I mix up a large bucket full I put in a pinch of potash, pinch of bone meal and a pinch of superphosate. The ...

I used to be plagued with these until I bought a'Hotbox' sulphur vaporiser. I use it three nights a week for three hours at night. Ne xt morning the greenhouse stinks of bad eggs' ,but only temporary!
Really successful, gets rid of spiders too.

Hello,
Very successful germination, so what is your technique in the preparation of compost and your subsequent management?
My success rate was very poor this year any help would be appreciated.
