Astro wrote: Tue Nov 17, 2020 6:25 am It looks like you got a good crop!

I set aside the top inch or so and reapply it to the tops of the new pots. That way, any ungerminated seeds are transferred and will have another shot at sprouting.
Good tip, I probably have thrown away much more viable seeds than I'm aware.

Re: Massonias germinated, now what?

Grow them on frost-free until the leaves go yellow in April. Leave warm and dry over summer Thank you Terry! That almost sounds like how conophytums are grown. Unfortunately there's nothing Mediterranean about where I'm located, so I'll keep them where I keep my conos over winter: a chilled windows...

Re: Updated seed lists

You are talking about the G. friendrichii from Agua Dulce, right?

Re: Updated seed lists

Thanks, I'll followup.
So Volker got back to me. He did receive my request.
Despite being aware of his popularity, I am shock that some of the items are in such high demand (G. friedrichii and cardenansianum especially). I never knew they are such hot items in the hobby.

Re: Updated seed lists

Volker Schädlich: http://www.richtstatt.de/gymnos_v3/cat.php?a=index&l=en I am a little confused about the process. I sent my request after selecting the seeds I'm interested in, entered my name and email address at the bottom and clicked "request" button. However, it didn't ask for m...

Re: How do lithops not get cooked in the wild?

Thank you Ian, it's a hurdle for me to overcome as 99% of the ones I killed died by such manner. I'm amused that you actually took the trouble to measure your plants' temperatures, presumably with IR thermometers?
