Have just dried out the non-soluble residue from when I dissolved 50g of champak No8 in 1l of tap water – the result is around 1.5g of white powder, I assume its Calcium phosphate? Local tap water is started to be 1.04 mmol/l of Calcium carbonate. Have just mixed 2g of champak No8 in to 1l of deioni...

Interesting - will have a go mixing 2g in 1l of deionised water and see what happens.

Never checked before, but it does seem there is a component of champak No.8 that just does not dissolve. To mix up 25l of fertiliser mixed 50g in 1l of water to start with, and some of it just did not dissolve. Drained off most of the water and added another 500ml just in case the solution was satur...

Used to have an Opuntia Invicta - lost it now - expect not being re-potted so often contributed to its demise - not that it exactly encouraged you to repot it !
