Re: CactusWorld (Dec 2023) Copiapoa
:) Thankyou Nobby for your informative reply, very much appreciated. Interesting about 'goldii', as I always thought they were the plants found at Cifuncho. Some examples below of what I photographed as Copiapoa calderana v. spinosior. Copiapoa calderana 'spinosior' (1).JPG Copiapoa calderana 'spino...

CactusWorld (Dec 2023) Copiapoa
I was just wondering what other peoples thoughts were on the new species Copiapoa saxifraga ? Many are saying it's Ritters Copiapoa calderana 'spinosior', an old plant with a new name ? that's been well visited and photographed over many years. I have pictures myself 20 years old. Also, Knizes Copia...

Re: Autumn Cactus and Succulent Show at RHS Harlow Carr 23/9/2023 - the photographs
The Copiapoa Solaris was a well-deserved winner, Colin Norton used to have a row of six of them, all in nice clusters and probably imports, but it's rare to see a plant nowadays with more than a single head. Agreed, the solaris is superb. There are also many huge specimens shown online from Austral...

Re: A small collection of copiapoa
Hi Benjy, as Tina points out there is quite a variety out there. I can see how my seed supplier may have got it wrong. Thanks for the update. Your Copiapoa looks awesome, really nicely grown :) chatting to a friend & he grows them in a lot of pumice and says they get much better roots this way....
