Re: Aloe id (if possible) please

it'a an hybrid of Aloe rauhii or deltoideodonta but there are so many hybrids right now that it's hard to put a name on your plant Thank you (tu) Aloe hybrid it is then. It's a pleasing little thing, very free flowering and survived last winter in an unheated greenhouse with some fleece thrown over...

Aloe id (if possible) please

This Aloe was sold with the tag Aloe arborescens but I'm sure that that is incorrect. Any thoughts? https://farm5.staticflickr.com/4841/43866468530_bfb88041f6_c.jpg Unknown Aloe by longk48 , on Flickr https://farm2.staticflickr.com/1978/43866468370_30ae57f7dd_c.jpg Unknown Aloe by longk48 , on Flick...

Re: Pachyphytum or Pachyveria id please

'Dark Red' rings a bell! So Pachyveria 'Blue Mist' it may well be. Thank you (tu)

To be honest it has suffered a summer of abuse as it ended up behind my pots of Ismene and Hedychium. I only discovered it the other day when I moved the Ismene into the greenhouse to dry out for the winter.

Re: Unnamed Displays of Cactus

I have a GC near me that sells a good selection of labelled cacti and succulents at poverty prices. Sadly on more than one occasion I've spotted bored brats pulling the labels out quickly followed by frantic parents poking them back into a pot - any pot will do!

Pachyphytum or Pachyveria id please

When I bought this it was tagged as Pachyphytum something or other but I've lost the label. However, I'm now wondering if it may be a Pachyveria. It's a bit of an ask I know but here are a few snaps.............. DSC_1551.jpg DSC_1554.JPG DSC_1555.JPG DSC_1552.JPG Thanks in anticipation (tu)

Re: What has happened to my Aloes?

As a newbie I am certainly no expert but is it possible that the plants were badly weakened over the winter and have just taken a long time to die? I lost a couple of noid thin leaved Aloe over the summer in a similar manner and that was what I have put it down to as they never really got going at a...

Aloe id (if possible)

Last year I was given a smallish Aloe by the owner of a nursery that was closing down. I overwintered it in a cold greenhouse and come the spring I repotted it and took some divisions. Anyway, it has grown like beejayzus but if possible I would like an id. DSC_0771.JPG DSC_0774.JPG DSC_0775.JPG If y...
