Re: Arizona - advice!
Brilliant... thanks all. Lots to read and look into! We are flying to Phoenix and I'm hoping to get down to the Tuscon area for sure.

Arizona - advice!
Hi there
Just booked a 3 week jaunt to Arizona. Obviously there's plenty of places to visit - but does anyone have any top tips on succulent spotting? We're going in April which I think should be a good time for Cactus blooms!
Thanks.

i'm in the same boat. Would it be best to move some of the more delicate plants inside - without much light? I have a small heater set up in the greenhouse already...trying to keep it above 10 degrees. And not thinking about the electrcity bill...

buying a greenhouse....
hello!
i know there have been numerous threads about greenhouses. if i search for "greenhouse" nothing comes up as the search engine finds too many hits! can anyone direct me to a useful thread please?? I have a 6ft x 10ft concreted area to use (if that helps!).
thanks....

Re: Moving house - moving plants!
thanks again chaps!
i think we'll be moving over a couple of days at least. i may transport the non-plant stuff (including 15,000 records!) first and then bring the plants over later.

Re: Moving house - moving plants!
If you're not going far and assuming you've either friends or family nearby, could you not foster your more awkward plants out in preparation for moving? If you're moving before the growing season starts then they can be stuck pretty much anywhere frost free without coming to any harm. Hmmmm... tha...

Re: Moving house - moving plants!
thanks everyone. i'm not looking forward to the whole moving process... and i'm not that reassured to be honest! we'll be doing it on our own and we're not actually moving that far. But I need to pull a shed down and put a new greenhouse up before i can rehome my plants. I'm expecting to lose a few....
