All great looking plants. That middle one is classic.
It’s so crazy that here in the US, California especially, those 3 total $3000 worth of cacti. I don’t think that can persist.
But they’re just such amazing little devils.

Re: Bradleya 36/2018 Paodia
Thanks Ruggero. These in the last photo are two different Parodia maxima (commutans) that I sowed about 7 years ago from Succeed’s list. The first photo is P. variicolor- about 40 years old. The 2nd photo has sucrensis, back left and schwebsiana v applanata back center. Two of my twisted woolly favo...

Bradleya 36/2018 Paodia
Hi. I did search some online places, but wonder if Bradleya 36/2018 available for purchase anywhere? So much going on the past few years I never followed up on active BCSS membership. I’d like a hard copy for the Parodia study. Because I really like Parodia. Thanks 76C738B4-4B80-4BC9-B94F-F0CEADEFFB...

Re: Copiapoa ** andina variety
Peter thank you. Good luck with your shifting. You have a lovely collection, and fond remembrances of a Christmas past with the fruits of a crazy cactus adventure! Thanks again.

Copiapoa ** andina variety
Field number : BCHK 1415 Collector : BCHK - gerardo.cz Species : Copiapoa coquimbana ssp. andina v. blumentritii nom. prov. cactuspro.com Locality : Chile : Atacama (Rio HuascoII) I’d order seeds and came up with plants that appear to simply be a less interesting brown spine variation of the much co...

Re: Parodia schwebsiana - variation in flower colour
That’s a nice illustration. I loose track of my Parodia colors, but when in doubt, red, yellow or orange and usually for months on end!
Here’s my young P. schwebsiana, no variation at all. Here are the parents

Re: Peter in Whitchurch
That is an amazing collection. You are deserving of admiration for tending to it and making those plants available to collectors to enjoy. Reminds me of the adage, the best time to start growing cacti is 30 years ago. Also reminds me of another, “All cacti are succulents, therefore not all succulent...

Re: Big-flowered Copiapoa
Grand flower indeed iann. Glad to see the forum back up! I kept getting an error message when checking in from my old bookmark, but snuck in by accident. Copiapoa haseltonia in (large) flower from a couple days ago. One I grew from seed in 1992 or so. Fast grower! 69E2D4C5-1319-4C5A-BC0D-172BCD0580B...

Re: Copiapoa goldii - there's no such thing is there?
Your bottom one looks like a C. goldii that I got years ago from Ann Shein from kk sourcing which ended up being a C. cinarescens, and the goldii seed I got from Mesa Garden ended up being C. longistaminea. The top plant I have no idea. But as to an actual Copiapoa goldii, in the words of comedian S...
