Re: Mealy bug eggs
sounds like you will never get rid of them. if it was my plant, i would take some clean cuttings and throw the infested part away. much better than going though multiple pesticide apps and failures.

Re: Help! What Disease Have I Got?
spider mites are very easily observable with a magnifier. you can see them with the naked eye also, and they move. if you don't see them, it's not spider mites. like spiders, they spin web if undisturbed. i do not find them to be a problem and blast them away with hose spray.

Re: ECHINOCEREUS seedings sudden dispear after one night..
do you see little black gnats flying around them? scarid flies/maggots attack seedlings. in any event, i would ventilate them immediately, try to get some breeze blowing over them. pick out the dead with tweezers. could be a classic case of damping off. time is of the essence here, you could lose th...

Re: Cactus Compost
i agree with dave and ralph here. compost is a highly controversial subject, while many different ones work well. my current fav is about 3/4 perlite and 1/4 fine vermiculite. sometime i substitute commercial peat based potting soil for the vermiculite. this produces an extremely light airy mix whic...

Re: Cold effects
i think they have turned red from bright light, this is the time of year you have to be careful of sunburn. when trees get leaves, there is more shade and the green color should return.
