Re: Updated seed lists
Also František Šibal from the Czech Republic has updated his seed lists. The list can be inquired via email. Send me a message if you want me to send you his email address (I don't want to publish it online). The list mostly contains South American cacti.

Leo van der Hoeven
This is a notice to inform you that on 9 September Leo van der Hoeven passed away at the age of 78. He traveled a lot to countries with succulents together with others and visited ELK multiple times, so I suspect many of you might have known him. In 2019 he had a huge Tillandsia, which was so big it...

Re: Cycas revoluta germination
I am impressed that they have between 3 and 6 leaves. The books will tell you that you are lucky to get 1 leaf a year, so long may the growth rate continue. I got eight seeds from cact.cz last winter, and although it took a while all eight have germinated. Four of them have one or two leaves, the o...

Re: September: Outdoors
I don't really have a single plant planted out, or have anything succulent growing in habitat but for a few sedums. So I will do with (overview) pictures what I have outside between spring and late autumn. First a table with soms this and thats. The three pots of Opuntia in the middle remain outside...

Re: Cok Grootscholten RIP
That is sad to hear. I know his nursery was closed for quite a few years already. Got my first winter active succulent from his nursery (a Conophytum wetsteinii).

Good to know there is a difference. I will just see what mine will do the coming months!Herts Mike wrote: ↑Wed Sep 13, 2023 3:39 pm The little desirables that we like to grow are winter growers but the vast amount of Pelargoniums are summer growers.

Re: Pelargonium barklyi
So, it is not that all Pelargoniums are basically winter active?Herts Mike wrote: ↑Wed Sep 13, 2023 1:44 pm Aiko, I’d suggest if they are dropping leaves they want to go to rest. If not they could be winter growers.

Re: Pelargonium barklyi
I sowed seed in March and these two are the result. I didn’t realise they were winter growers and have had them outside since June. Should I just carry on now and let them rest next year? I sort of have the same problem. I sowed a mix of seeds in spring. I had no idea what was in the mix, but appar...
