Re: Hello from West Oxon

Welcome to the forum Keith. You have grown some lovely plants. I’m particularly glad you posted the Tacca, it’s amazing. I came across this in a seed catalogue just the other day and was tempted to give it a go. Luckily, for me I read you post and can now make the judgement call that it wouldn’t fit...

Re: Second burgeri attempt

It’s difficult to say without knowing what the soil is like below the surface. If it is similar all the way through I would agree with Aiko. I don’t think the temperature is an issue given that your obcordellum are doing fine. Perhaps it is the balance between wet and dry that you are not quite gett...

Re: Terry on TV

I have just returned home after giving a presentation on Lithops and Conophytum to my own branch, Glasgow. There was an excellent turn out. One new lady in the audience had seen Terry on TV and was so taken by the plants that she did a search on the internet and found out about our meeting. What fab...

Re: Massonias coming into growth

No they came from Brian Mc  I guess by their look that they will turn out to be longipes but I dont mind, to my eye that is a better looking Massonia than pustulata. They're looking really good, well done. My plants came from seed offered by the Mesembryanthemum Study Group as 'Honorary Mesem...

Re: Terry on TV

Chris, I am so glad that you posted this. Of late, with my new career situation I find I have less time for surfing. And since the analog switch off I watch less and less of the 'terrestrial' channels. Luckily I was able to watch this on iplayer....... ..... Fantastic! What a great window into our h...

Definitely not Crassula sarcocaulis!

Could be a Tylecodon, or looking at the new stem growth I'm reminded of Othonna

Re: Non-sphaeroid mesemb water requirments

Perhaps plastic pots for these would be more appropriate. You would need to water less often. If your plants are looking happy I doubt that they will be going to rot soon.
