That's unusual for a unispina to offset so low down, is the crown still OK ? , should look quite nice once the branches are bigger. My euphorbia columnaris sent out offsets once I stuck scissors in the growing point, I have managed to root down 3 pups now, fingers crossed they grow OK and by next ye...

Its taken me 3 years to get the courage to graft it, the hardest bit is cutting euphorbia abdelkuri, not common and it has very tough dermis, I knew the stay sharp fish filleting knife would come in useful. its a good job the family don't know what I get up to. Well that didn't take much guessing Ralph got it right, I thought it was unusual and I have never tried grafting using abdelkuri as stock but 'fingers crossed ' it has worked.

Here's a graft I did recently, can anyone ID it ?.
Yes I know its ugly and as Colin would say 'only a mother could love it' but I do and I hope it grows well for me.

One trick to get them to set seed is to place the flowering plant near a compost heap, as you get a large choice of flies n bugs
