Uk weather wouldn't help for sure and our shorter growing season wouldnt give it as much time to heal. I'd rather buy it a bigger pot

Yes, as a guide they are supposed to be owned/cultivated for 6 month's. although not everyone does this.

one I’m trimming the roots every year to try and keep the main caudex a better shape I'm not sure why trimming the roots would work, surely it would slow its growth down as it needs to regrow them.
