Re: Dont be shy

Hello I have just become a member, having been a registered user for a few weeks. During the weeks I shared a few posts and am grateful for the answers. Although I have some years experience in Bonsai, Cacti and Succulents are new to me and am now learning quickly. I received an excellent membership...

Two New Cacti To Identify.

Hello

My two new Cacti arrived today. One between 5 and 8 years, the other around 10 years old.

Could you please help identify them? The smaller one has slightly larger tougher spines than the other.

Many thanks

Re: Cacti identity

Hello Mike, Diane and Ralph

I have taken another photo which I hope will make things clearer. It looks to me if the Cacti are joined.
Sorry about the previous one being less clear.

Re: Introduction

Hello Gerald, thank you for the welcome. I found the under noted on the Internet: 'The cactus is a thorny succulent, and it is native to desert conditions. A collection of these small cacti can be used to create a miniature garden in a pot. ... Unlike many other houseplants, the cactus combo bonsai ...

Cacti identity

A kind friend gave me a pot of Tesco Cacti which are not named.

Re: Unnamed Displays of Cactus

Thank you Stuart for the helpful reply. The cacti are supplied by a nursery in Holland.

I will now look at some of the nurseries itemised by TBC&SS.

Unnamed Displays of Cactus

As someone new to this fascinating hobby, I attach the under noted photo of an attractive display of well looked after cacti and succulents in a well known garden centre. While the items are most attractive for buyers like myself, I noticed that the individual plants are not named which I find quite...

Re: Introduction

Hello Paul I am in Dalgety Bay, Dunfermline. Just started with a couple of cactus and 2 succulents. Early days? Thanks for the welcome. I don't have a greenhouse so most of my cactus will have to live on window sills and in my shed or in the garden. I will apply for full membership in January as I h...
