Re: White pots

Slight deviation to thread. We only have white pots for inside. For easy colour coding outdoor pots stick a plant label in them. White ones are for names, yellow means slightly tender, red labels means bring in first. That way my husband doesn't have to keep asking me which pot to bring in for winter.

Re: Limescale on plastic pots

As people have said, a mild acid such as vinegar or lemon juice. It works better if its slightly warm. Put it on cotton wool, apply it to the pot then cover with polythene if the deposits are thick and it needs to soak.

Re: White pots

Has anyone looked at the quality of the plastic and the amount of UV stabiliser in the plastic that the pots are made out of? This would add to the price but also add to durability. I keep poultry so have a range of different coloured plastic feeders and drinkers exposed to sunlight all year round. ...

Re: Hello from Lancashire!

Hello. I'm more a succulent than cacti grower. We have the house windowsills full but like to grow most plants outside. We have a large polytunnel for the tender ones that can only be out for summer.

Re: bubble wrap - taking it down

We have polytunnel and have taken the inner tunnel cover off. The inner tunnel was kept warmer than the main tunnel.

We have been ventilating ours with the door part open for a while, its been fully open recently; only one of the four doors though.
