Re: First time in Flower
I think that plant needs repotting Mike  Beautiful plant, Ralph! Ray (or anyone!)- I’ve got a 2 foot tall oreocereus ritteri currently in a 3 inch pot that is worrying me slightly. Any pointers for successful repotting? I don’t grow many columnar cacti so this is completely out of my comfort z...

Re: Succulent seed pods
I’ve got two fockea edulis on the go currently. One I’m leaving to its own devices and one I’m trimming the roots every year to try and keep the main caudex a better shape. I’ll need about a decade before I know if it’s helping

Re: Succulent seed pods
Probably much more common but I’m really pleased I’ve managed to get seed from some pelargoniums this year.
Very cheeky I know, but if you find yourself with too many fockea seeds I’d love to have a go at growing some myself.

Might chuck the plant in a bag then! This one was hanging on to the seed pod for dear life.

Re: Pelargoniums
I’ve noticed seed pods recently and for the first time today seeds on my p. appendiculatum.
1. They look stunning.
2. Will I only get one seed per pod?
3. Would anyone be interested in some seed if I manage to collect more than one?

Re: Gymno - best value for beginners?
I’ve always been put off gymnos by those horrible coloured monstrosities you see grafted on hylocereus. I also think mihanovichii is pretty ugly. However, I picked up a couple of those plants last year (armatum and eytianum), which has got me a bit more interested. I’ve now got 10 or so, many of wh...

Re: Is this discolouration caused by a fungus?
Is it just on one side or on both?
If it’s just on one side it could be scorch. If it’s all over I’d say red spider mite was a possibility.
