Either newspaper or kitchen roll for me in plastic pots. Terracotta pots I use a pebble or small broken piece of old pot, avoiding pots which are too deep. Always works a treat.

Re: Natural Predators....

The thought of frogs hopping around and birds flying in and out of my greenhouse fills me with horror. I dare not imagine what would remain of my cacti & succulent plants. The last time I experienced animal life in my greenhouse was when a local cat squeezed in, then panicked, and jumped straight th...

Re: Topsy turvey ?

Thank you Tony and Derek. I discovered there was a gasteria with that name, so this is clearly a fake label! Yes Derek it’s in a right state needing TLC for sure.

Topsy turvey ?

I am doing some repotting today and arrived at this Adromischus plant, now split in two. Somebody is probably going to tell me it is the wrong label. 1. Re: North West Cactus Mart 2019

That is a very interesting reference source, Liz, thank you.

I am waiting for the Pachyphytum flowers to open but they look like viride based on the photographs.

I see there is a Pachyphytum CONFUSUM as well. How appropriate for my plant!!

Re: North West Cactus Mart 2019

The Seyrigia and Adromischus and Senecio were from John Gregory & I am very pleased to have them. Yes I think the Seyrigia will have a caudex, but I’ve not looked yet. The Pachyphytum references are really helpful, thank you Liz, Tony & Ralph. My plant is in bud ready to flower; I’m not sure if the ...

Re: North West Cactus Mart 2019

The last batch included the elusive Adromischus, a senecio & something else like it.
