My boolii unfortunately died while in storage and my guelzaniana soon afterwards. I do like the larger flowered mammillarias. Senilis is a good one as the flowers are quite large but also red, unusually for mams.

Lovely flowers, JST. Rebecca is blooming very early for an Echinopsis. They usually have to be a lot bigger before they flower - or perhaps the hybrids flower when younger.

Yes, I like these. I had a yellow flowered and an orange flowered one but they succumbed a couple of years ago. I think I over watered, which lobivias (among others) seem to resent.

That is beautiful, Ralph. Very unusual colouration. I suppose it won't last more than a day or so, although if the Tricho gene is dominant it might last for a few days.
