Re: Secrets of Namaqualand Succulents Book

Maybe if a PDF with a few pages could be made available on the website. A few pages have been made available as a preview on Facebook https://www.facebook.co...

I have used Provado with good results but what is Provento?? sold by Wilkos.
Provanto is the new name for the Provado range of products, the active ingredients have changed a few times as well so past experience is not much use :???:

Re: Sempervivum

Having used Google to look for the sempervivum picture from the original post, today Facebook has decided to show me a sponsored post using the same picture offering 10 plants for £9.99

Re: How long...

Looking around my greenhouse another possibility is Phyllobolus tenuiflorus, second pair of leaves now open but I can't see any of the characteristic bristles for them to be the Trichodiadema that was my first guess

Re: What nibbled my cactus :(

Surprising how much a snail/slug can eat in a short time. I'm sure all the leaves were there yesterday - evidence of slime trail and I did find some snails behind an adjacent pot

They look like Monilaria seedlings.
Unlikely as I don't think I have any of those

Based on flowers seen so far this year the most likely parent is Trichodiadema rogersii
