Re: Winter is coming

Still waiting for mine, a bit later this year than in previous years. Nice looking plant, much lighter in colour than my one.

Re: Problem with Pachypodium geayi

I haven't noticed any insect activity on this plant which is in very close proximity to other Pachypodiums along with other caudiciforms but will certainly look out for that possibility.

However this summer when the leaves started growing again they are curled and withered looking and have brown tips. Also the new leaves are very few in number. The rest of the stem still se...

Copiapoa cinerea

I've had one of these for several years now but it has never shown any sign of growth at all. Neither has it shown any sign of dying by shrinking or going spongy. It just sits in its pot year after year and the only change in it has been part of the hard surface turning white. I have tried it in dif...

Re: Adenium obesum advice

I have two larger Adeniums, an Arabicum and an Obesum. Both have flowered. I also have a number of seedlings of both species which I am raising. I have recently started repotting the seedlings into a mixture of JI2 and pure pumice with some grit and cat litter. I purchased a bottle of liquid feed sp...

Adenium pruning Solved

Hi, looking for some advice from Adenium growers. I have a dozen obesum grown from seed which are 9 to 18 months old. Whilst some have only one or two branches there are several which have lots of branching quite low down on the plants. As there is a lot of congestion should I prune back some of the...

Re: pure pumice?

I bought a few bags from my local Ikea specifically for my Pachypodiums. To stop pumice coming out through the drainage holes I have cut up small pieces of weed suppressant matting from a roll I bought for the garden. Putting this over the drainage hole allows excess water to drain through and stops ...
