Re: Nice pots- with plants (No clay/plastic)
Thanks Eric, I usually give my other plants a good drenching every couple of weeks but I will be very careful with this particular pot. If they ever outgrow the pot and need repotting I will have an attempt at drilling a drainage hole but until then I will just give small amounts of water.

Re: Nice pots- with plants (No clay/plastic)
Got this lovely pot with plants from relative at Christmas. A Yorkshire stone wall imitation. I love the pot, only snag is no drainage hole. Would I get away with watering lightly at two to three weeks intervals as I am reluctant to risk damaging the pot particularly as it was a gift?

Re: Pruning roots
On the subject of root pruning I may have a problem with a Pachypodium namaquanum. Purchased as a tiny seedling I have erred too much on the side of caution by underwatering it. The plant is now dehydrated and since increasing the amount of water it has not responded. Examined the roots which may be...

Re: EU Plant Passport Scheme
Just wondering what the position would be if for instance I grew a small number of plants from seed then advertised them for sale on a Facebook Local Sales and Wants page. Any sales would be completed face to face in person and would not involve plants being put in the post. Would the fact that the ...

Limestone
I have read that some Pachypodiums grow in limestone areas and I was wondering if any growers have tried planting in limestone chippings or have added limestone powder to the planting medium. I currently grow mine in a pumice/soil mixture but am always looking to try and improve growth.

They say patience is a virtue and at last my Dioscorea elephantipes has produced a vine, a month later than is normal! Hallelujah!

Fockea edulis
I gave my Fockea edulis it's first haircut in 2 years and when I was able to view the underside of the pot at last this is what I found! Should I prune these roots to get the plant out of the pot or am I safer just smashing the pot before putting into a larger pot. 48691860488_dc32b05b20_c.jpg 48691...

Re: Late bloomers
The white flower looks like G.eurypleurum but it wasn't labelled.
