September Journal Delays
As some will already be aware we have had a problem with the distribution of the September Journal. This was not a fault of either BCSS officers or of the mailing house but due to a technical problem which no-one could have foreseen. A large number of our members were missed form the mailing file an...

Re: BCSS INTERNATIONAL CONVENTION BOOKINGS
As I am getting a number of queries it seems not everyone has read all the details in the final request for payment which gave details of time and location to arrive and check in so I am repeating them here: The postcode for arrival is LE2 2LH and on Friday July 13th the registration will take place...

Re: BCSS INTERNATIONAL CONVENTION BOOKINGS
Please note that the advert in the June 2018 Journal mentions an evening auction which will NOT now be taking place.
Please bring this to the attention of anyone who may be thinking of applying for the £30 Saturday “Access Only” tickets.

Re: Cactus World
No, Associates mail is sent out by Peter Bint from Manchester. He gets a supply of all the inserts direct from the printers. The journals are sent via a mailing house who have to collate, pack and mail them. Peter does a very good job "behind the scenes" keeping associates up to date.

BCSS INTERNATIONAL CONVENTION BOOKINGS
It’s time to get you convention booking in. Xmas and New Year are all over so now is the time to be looking forward to the convention in July. Unlike branch or zone events the International Convention is residential and this means we have to book the rooms with the university well in advance. If we ...

Re: December Cactus World
It is actually earlier than in many years and is scheduled for mailing from the mailing house tomorrow (11th).
It should be with you later in the week well over a week before Xmas.

Re: Astrophytum cap. med.
I found that the plant on a graft kept taking moisture from the stock during the winter until the stock eventually dried up and died. The only way I could get grafted plants through the winter was to keep giving a little water.

Re: Aloe polyphylla pollenation
Disappointingly my plant is not flowering this year though it is still very healthy and growing well. I like the look of your plants. Do you keep them under cover all year, mine lives out of doors although under an open porch. I do have 20 seedlings sown this year coming on, still small but they alw...

Re: Field Number Database - The Long Term
This is exactly the sort of question that we need to find answers to before getting into discussions. Tw days before a meeting does not allow enough time to get any idea of anything. That is the reason I suggested putting it to the BoT in May.
