Re: euphorbia mamillaris minima fluffy tops!

Hey AnTTun and ceacole DO NOT blow the fluff away, this will spread the spores to other plants. I had a single plant with fluff on it and I blew it away, then a few weeks later had 20+ plants all coming up with the fungal attack. It seems to thrive the most in draughty/cold/shade. This fungus has sc...

Re: John Innes (oh no, not again!!)

I've always had good experiences with levingtons, compared to almost all other brands. I really should get around to feeding my plants, I've never done it and been collecting for 3 or 4 years now :???:

Re: Pachypodium cowpat - signs of life

My Euphorbias have been doing all sorts of wierd things. One E. schoenlandii that was 4 years old turned to mush (sad) but quite a few are flowering, one of my E. bupleurifolia's is growing leaves while the other isn't, and E. milottii is flowering (they are gorgeous)

Re: Euphorbia submammillaris

More likely to be plain old mammalaris, my understanding was submammalaris is more cushion forming though i'm not really too sure. It's one of the two.

it's not enopla/ferox/etc

Thanks dot and Martin you were very helpful, I'll have a go at some half-strength tomato feed and see how I get on. I'll report back in a week!

Re: Should I water?

My E. stellaespina are developing flower buds at the mo, generally coldest the greenhouse gets overnight is 10c or so and I give them a bit of a dribble of water when the compost is dry, otherwise not alot. (Not worth the risk!)

Othonna feeding?

Hi everyone, The only place on the internet I've found regarding feeding othonnas is speck's care guide, which just says 'low'. Very helpful! The plants im concerned about are my othonna hederifolia, which are growing in inorganic medium and hence need a feed, judging by the yellow/blotchy pat...

Re: More Aloes

Only the little tissue culture clones Mike, though they seem to be doing well. Keeping them in the coldest (relatively) bit of the greenhouse as they don't seem to like too much warmth
