Re: Mammillaria gigantia which keeps toppling over

But I can see from Chris,s pics this is not so.Ah well back to google lol. Cheersimage.jpegimage.jpeg Looking at your second photo, I wonder whether or n...

Re: Mammillaria gigantia which keeps toppling over
Assuming you have given the plant adequate light ( sunshine ) and it is not etiolated, and along with the added assumption that this is not m. gigantia, what are we looking at. Well, there are a few candidates that come to mind, m. backebergiana subsp. ernestii, m. spinosissima and possibly m. matud...

Apologies if this has already been mentioned on this forum. A quick check through the pages here revealed no references that I could see to his passing. Those of you who knew Derek will remember him as a very cheerful person, always willing to help and a prominent member of our hobby. Notably, for h...

Re: Terry on TV

I think Terry did a wonderful job advertising our hobby with his genuine enthusiasm for all the plants that he cultivates. I am privileged to have him as a fellow club member at North Sur...

Re: Japanese Succulent Potting Mix

Re: My mamm vetula gracilis furred up!
Not too much nitrogen though, which babybio has. Ok for a kick start but you need to feed a more balanced cactus fertilizer, otherwise your plants will be too sappy and bloated and may succumb the winter.

Looks to me like Turbinicarpus ( Gymnocactus ) horripilus seedlings.
