Mike I have never been able to flower var. brachyclada I must give it more sun I think .

If it came when a reference keep it ,if it did not you can always put that sort of info on the back of the label and where it was obtained just for future ref.

I would agree with Terry that is Lobivia arachnacantha and the flowers should be intense dark Yellow/Gold but with Lobivia some sports do have colour difference in the flowers.

Sowing them now is no problem, it is when we get to winter with dark days that you may need lights and heat.

Christian; It does not look much different winter or summer it is not one of those Corynopuntias that throws out new segments with style or change of spine colouration , as for temps, I keep it above minus 5c, it is now in the new greenhouse where the heating comes on at 1c ( maybe 0c by the time th...

I cannot remember if I posted this plant Corynopuntia moelleri NPE 5318 last year when it had 6 flowers, but here it is with one of the 7 flowers now open this year, it flowered also in the 3rd week in June last year.
