Re: Mesemb for id

Thanks Brian & Richaud,

When i did some seach on google, i think bergeranthus is a better match. And it is interesting, i have another pot of bergeranthus... and it is not in flower this time. They are from different sources and i think they respond to different stimulus.

Re: Aloinopsis others species in flowers

After visiting Thailand and observing the same plant over 2 years...i concluded that Aloinopsis rubrolineata is one of a few mesembs that can grow in the equatorial tropics, joining faucaria and glottiphyllum. Will try to get one to try one this year.

Re: Sudden weight loss-blame the plants Solved

Ernie, I managed to order some of the commiphora and the cucurbit from somalia. Not sure if Impatiens sp is really opinata or a form of Impatiens mirabilis with yellow flowers. At least in the warm tropics, these caudiciform species enjoys a free root run over a very large very very shallow tray. Th...

Re: Schizobasis intricata

Hi Phil, The S. intricata available in Japan/Taiwan like your plant. And very tolerant of heat. This type "branch" at an angle. However, the Specks so called S. intricata is atypical, branching at a 90 deg angle or bent. And precisely this is what make it is nice, i got one to try last yea...

Re: Schizobasis intricata

Hello,

I don;t have much experience wtih this bulb. However, my plant does look like yours.
And last year i got another plant: (http://www.specks-exotica.com/en/photo/ ... hizobasis/ ). The branching of the east african form is rather unusual.

I've a pterodiscus species that's self fertile and it is always setting fruits. When i checked the matured and dried pods, there seeds are well formed. However nothing germinate when i sow them. Do pterodiscus seeds need some form of rest - either for the embryo to form or for some germination inhib...
