It is a chemical as it is the cell walls from diatoms which are unique as they are made from silica. It always annoys me when "organic" gardeners claim to use no chemicals as all plants require chemicals to live and everything is made from chemicals Hear, hear - if it contains atoms it's a chemical!

Nice Chamaelobivia, they always manage quote a show. This E. texensis has flowered for the first time for me. Convinced it was dead for a few months last year...

To stop the tips of Leuchtenbergia principis dying off water it twice as often as the rest of your collection. They don't like being dry for long periods of time
