In my experience it is not so cold tender. I have them in my greenhouse all winter. DRY
So I think if you can provide a rain shelter and good drainage, it should be fine.

How do you grow the Huernia kennedyana? I have tried it twice, but failed to keep them going for more than a few years each time. Got them to flower, though. No different than the others. But this is actually the second time I'm trying: the first time, all went well up to a point when stems started...

I bought several times from them. Their Agava, Pachypodium and Adenium seeds germinated fine. I had more problems with cacti seeds. Can't tell exactly why.
Adansonia digitata and Cycas revoluta didn't germinate either.
