Re: Who built a new glasshouse out of a Conservatory.

That would be me :ban: A conservatory I picked up second hand, for nothing, it cost me labour for dismantling it and help in renovating the house it came from. It has Pilkington K glass, 3 and 5 ply polycarb as its windows and roof. Green house being built Sept 2006 [attachment 15758 greenhousebeing...

Re: My new greenhouse is up!

I had one of those greenhouses a few years ago. (not for cactus). My experience says the flaps (on the ground with a few bricks on) need covering completely, I used flag stones and breeze blocks on top of them. Re: What would you like to know about Melocactus?

In fact they?ve recently come in as I like to leave them out as long as possible, but once my heater starts working time to bring them in. This mean tha...

Re: Electric fan heater recommendations?

I have a 2K and a 3K parwin myself http://www.parwinheatersukltd.co.uk/ The 3K one is over 10 years old, I generally don?t use then as fans in the summer as a prefer bigger fans. I like them because they are user serviceable and repairable, and because of the way it?s built if one the heating elemen...

Re: Seen at York Show

Hi Mike Identifying Melos is difficult but some ideas The body colour reminds me of M. Conoideus yet the spines remind me of M. Ernestii. As for the colour of the cephalium it doesn't look white nor red, and could be either, (unless a closer photo is avaiable) the fruit look red in colour so could b...
