Auto ventilation

Can I get some recommendations please for auto openers for my Alton roof vents? One of my old ones just collapsed after 20+ years with no maintenance so they don't owe me anything.

Re: Avonia herrerae (seedlings & flower)

Definitely large enough to pot on Chris. If memory serves - it's a long time since I grew these - there will be a swollen base but not what I'd call a tuber. They don't grow like quinaria for example.

Re: Adromischus hybrid

At least the herrei influence is obvious with this clone Leo. The previous one with the white edge is quite special.

Who'd have thought a few years ago that the humble Adromischus would gain so much in popularity?!

Re: Adromischus hybrid

Not one of his better hybrids IMO. I don't see any herrei influence whatsoever, even in the link of DT's. It looks just like one of the Kakamas clones ex Lavranos or Hammer which have been in hort for years.

Re: Adromischus hybrid

The herrei isn't very prominent Leo.....it really only looks like a nice schuldtianus?

Re: BCSS Judges Course

My opinion is that competitive shows have had their day anyway. Non-competitive displays or exhibitions are the way to go IMO. Do growers really need cups and trophies as an incentive any more?

Re: Shading

Suzanne Topsy very kindly sent me a few sachets she had spare and I just placed an order with Ragamala's link so thanks to both. The other suggestions are of interest.....I wonder how long Dave's whitewash would take to wash off? And as my water butt fills from the greenhouse roof I suspect it might...
