Re: Label Printers

I use Brother P touch and haven't bought genuine ribbons for a long time. Plenty of perfectly good clone tapes on eBay. Interesting, I use a Brother P touch printer to label audio / video equipment at work but have always used the genuine labels. If the clones stand up to life in a greenhouse I sho...

Re: Please can I have some more

Stuart's plants have a good start, but you have done well, I just wish I had bought one for myself! As mentioned by Diane in another thread, I wonder if the hot conditions this year have encouraged flowering. Regards, Jean. I think Diane is right, my Turbs, Lophophoras, the Ariocarpus and a Strombo...

A very nice plant Keith, I hope you can catch a photo when the sun appears.
I think you were there when I bought it from Stuart at the 2017 Bromley show. It is still barely bigger than a twenty pence piece and I was not expecting to see it flower for quite some time.

Ariocarpus kotschoubeyanus not kotscholibeyanus
So close to seeing my first Ariocarpus flower open, it is going to be a long wait for the next forecast sunny day which is five days away.

Re: Dioscorea elephantipes

Further to my original post I am very happy to report that my D.elephantipes has started to send out a new vine despite my efforts to kill it off during the summer by giving it a tad more water than it desired. After cutting of the dead roots I replanted the rootless caudex in new compost and posit...

Re: Hello from Madrid!

Hi Patricia, welcome to the forum. You have a fine collection of Harworthias there, mine are all looking a but over grown and in need of thinning out / re potting. I expect Madrid is a great place to be growing succulents, when I visited Madrid in December I enjoyed walking down the streets planted ...

Re: Dioscorea elephantipes

I have stopped watering mine since their leaves started to dry up. Hoping this is the correct way to treat them! I got them last year from a very kind forum member and they have grown and grown! Now getting on for 2 inch across having been size of a penny to start! They are odd things, mine grew th...
