Re: Hello from Madrid!

Hi Patricia, welcome to the forum. You have a fine collection of Harworthias there, mine are all looking a but over grown and in need of thinning out / re potting. I expect Madrid is a great place to be growing succulents, when I visited Madrid in December I enjoyed walking down the streets planted ...

Re: Dioscorea elephantipes

I have stopped watering mine since their leaves started to dry up. Hoping this is the correct way to treat them! I got them last year from a very kind forum member and they have grown and grown! Now getting on for 2 inch across having been size of a penny to start! They are odd things, mine grew th...

Re: Echinopsis subdenudata flower Solved

Hi, If you compare the plant photos year on year it looks as though the plant is now under nourished, the ribs are sunken, not pumped out as they were last year. This in turn means that the flower is not getting enough moisture and possibly food, to be able to produce a flower the same as last year...

Thank you very much Iann.

Avonia quinaria ?

In this thread http://forum.bcss.org.uk/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=167036 on Avonia I mentioned that I had bought three little Avonias at the Whitstable cactus mart but expressed doubt that I would see them flower, well one obliged by flowering over the weekend for me. Re: That Avonia is off again

Splendid, I have enough trouble seeing my Anacampseros flowers open. It will be a real treat to see flowers on any of the three Avonias I bought earlier this year.

Re: New polytunnel

Hi Conrad, the poly tunnel and your plants are looking great. It is really good to see the update, good luck launching the web site. Have you considered selling at one or more of the cactus marts or perhaps a branch or regional show?
