My three mature plants, one white spined and two normal have been down to just below 5 deg.C for the last four years with no ill effect, I don't think they are as sensitive as younger plants.

It had not yet opened in the photograph, that was before I went away for four days. Apparently we had a couple of hot sunny days where it will have opened but now it is cold and damp in London and the flower had definitely opened and is now over.

Turbinicarpus (missed first flower)

I have been anticipating the first flower on a little Turbinicarpus pseudopectinatus that I bought from Nick G almost three years ago. This was it last Saturday just before I left for a four day trip to France. TurbWeb.jpg Needless to say that on my return my first action was to visit the greenhouse...

Very nice Ralph, so far this year all I have in flower are the Stenos and some of the Turbinicarpus.

Well done York Branch, the two Harrogate shows used to be a bi annual family pilgrimage when I was growing up in East Yorkshire sadly now out of striking range.

(tu) I too gave them a light first watering yesterday and what a nice day it was. Hopefully it will brighten up a bit this afternoon as we were promised a couple of nice warm days here in London.
