Re: Supplier of large bowls?

I've just bought a supply of bowls from Manchester Branch. I believe that some of these will not be re-stocked once the present stock has sold, so it's worth having a look at their website. Excellent service.

Re: Specalist cactus nursery Somerset

I think there was a nursery in that area called Bradley Batch, I remember visiting them maybe 30 years ago and got some nice plants. I don't think they've been in business for some while. Suggest you try Chris's link, or look at the list of nurseries on Cactus Mall.

Re: Echevaria minima (ISI 1014)

Nice plant Eric. I think your last suggestion makes the most sense: reduce the size of the clump and repot with fresh compost into the same bowl. I do this regularly with my Echeverias and Sempervivums, otherwise it would be impossible to accommodate them. Good luck!

Re: In flower today

Yes, really nice Carmenae, I was selling them at the 1983 National, I'd seen them for the first time at C&Js in California in 1982 and imported a batch for the National. You must have been that young girl that spent all her pocket money on one, I remember it well. Stuart Ha ha! I like that idea Stu...

Re: In flower today

Thanks Tony. I see that I bought it as a small single head at my first ever National, 1983 at Luton, so it must be about 40 years from seed; older than some of the people on this Forum! I must try to repot it this year, bit of a challenge!
