Re: Hello from Rotherham / Sheffield, South Yorkshire

Welcome to the Forum Cheryl, it sounds as though you have some interesting projects in your garden. There are a number of Forum members who grow cacti and succulents out of doors, so I'm sure you will find plenty of guidance. Enjoy your plants and your garden.

Re: Warmer winter for some mammillarias?

I agree with Diane about M. guelzowiana, I've had mine for years and just keep it at 5 c minimum, no problems.

Re: Wisley Garden today

Peter, I think that the Alpine House has changed very little over the years, thank goodness, as it is always delightful. Re: Pediocactus knowltonii grafted on Pereskiopsis

Welcome to the Forum Kath, In I'm sure you will find plenty to interest you here. I don't grow any grafted plants, but I should think you are right, if the Pereskiopsis dies then you could lose your Pediocactus. Good luck!

It's great to know about this Christian, what a marvellous and worthwhile project by your branch, plus good publicity for the BCSS. Well done! Thanks for posting the pictures.

Hi Jean, it must be a slow grower, as I have had this at least five years and it has not grown much at all. This is it's first pot and it is just in need of re-potting-next year.
Thanks Liz, this is useful to know.
