This is quite a nice coloured one, E. frank reinelt, which is a hybrid of agavoides and colorata. I generally check the names on the International Crassulacea Network website, assume this would show which names are correctly registered?

Some lovely plants there Wayne. I think it's a bit of a mine field on e bay for plants, I don't blame you for grumbling! Definitely a case of 'buyer beware'.

It's good to see these lovely mature plants Peter. I wonder if columnar cacti are generally rather 'unfashionable' now, perhaps because of space limitations, it's rather a shame.
