Re: pesticide cupboards

Yes, I deliberately didn't mention that there are proper plastic chemical storage cupboards because I knew how expensive they are.
Of course wood has be used reliably for hundreds of years......

Re: pesticide cupboards

The cupboards you've been looking at are, in my opinion, not fit for purpose and I'm astonished that their sale continues and that there are so few alternatives. The bits you can see are powder-coated but the locking bits are not, nor are bits within any reinforcing sections. As you've worked out, t...

Re: Non-member mistakenly sent Cactusworld

No. The official mailing date for September's was Tuesday. It can always take a good few days for everything to work through the post. If recent members have been missed off the mailing list (and it's purely my guesswork that this is what has happened) then it'll take a bit longer while someone work...

Re: Non-member mistakenly sent Cactusworld

Another ex-member posted on the BCSS facebook group yesterday to say that she'd received one, too. My guess is that an old member list has been used by mistake and my only concern is that some very recent joiners might not have got theirs. I wouldn't worry about it for now - it's not your fault! Hav...

Re: What’s in a Name?!

They've picked a reference book and are using that as a basis for their list of accepted names.

Re: Strange growth on Ariocarpus

I asked someone who'd seen M. polzii in habitat whether it was more solitary but apparently not - it offsets like mad in habitat too. I find removing them reduces further offsetting and encourages longer spines and flowers. I had a monstrose Aporocactus flagelliformis once upon a time that was a sol...
