Re: When to put Aeoniums back outside?
Most, possibly all, Aeoniums will die or be damaged by frost, so the simple answer is after the last frost. Begs the question, how do you know which one is the last one? The best answer is historical for where in the country you live. In Sheffield, I wait till the end of May/early June, after checki...

Loads of flowers now in the greenhouse - well, one at least. Titanopsis_calcarea_JL698.JPG The whole plant is about an inch across - for scale, here's the plant in its 2¾" pot. Titanopsis _calcarea_JL698a.JPG Actually there is a second plant in flower, one of the Echeveria 'Blue wave' flower st...

Re: ID needed please Solved
I think I've identified the 2nd plant as a Sedum adolphii, can anyone confirm whether this correct? Looks like it. Also sometimes labelled Sedum nussbaumerianum. If grown outdoors over summer it will go a more golden colour and stays nice and compact; the colour can look a bit washed outfit it's no...

Re: Aeonium velour
Just given the GH its first watering of the year; 'Velour' has coloured up quite a bit, in just 3 weeks. Not as dark when outdoors in the summer, but much less green than the previous photo. velour.JPG The whole plant is much more open, with gaps between the heads, than last summer. I hope that as t...

Re: Its spring . . . . . Just about
Still snow up there? When the last lot of snow from 2 weeks ago melted, I did think that was it for this winter (I also thought that after the previous load). The snow 2 weeks was dry, with some wind, so didn't stick on plants much. Last night's lot was wet, with little or no wind, so has stuck on ...

April 2018 - Mammillarias
Surprisingly, it seems that Mammillaria hasn't been chosen previously as a topic, so that's the April competition. It could be spines
or flowers or a bit of both or anything else Mammillaria.
So what Mamm photos do you have?

Some to add before April starts. A couple of arachnoidea in habitat - first is ssp namaquensis near Komaggas.
