topsy,
Be careful when you eventually move it.
They do not transplant well. I have seen struggling specimens at Kirstenbosch.

Re: Moving house - moving plants!
I moved house a few years ago. Packed all my plants into the same standard shape box. Found this usefull as it made stacking them and transportation easier as they were all uniform. Stacked the plants in the garage at the old place. I helped the movers load the boxes into the van. And then unloaded ...

Re: Stapelia glanduliflora
I have this Stapelia.
It doesn't seem too difficult to grow. It filled a 10cm pot in 2 or 3 years.
It does seem reluctant to flower. Having done so only in 1 season of the 6 or so I have had it for.

Re: Astroloba, where to find info?
Doreen Court's book on South African succulents has a few pages on Astroloba. And if I remember correctly, there are a few habitat photos too.Lindsey wrote:Can anyone suggest links to Astroloba name info + images, including habitat photos?

Re: Cono ID
Derek,
Thanks for that.
I have had a bit of a disaster with a lot of my Cono labels. I bought a batch of labels a few years ago at a RHS Show. They have prerished and snapped under the weight of the plastic mesh that I have over them in summer. I am now trying to sort the mess out.

Aloe Book
Hi All,
My copy of the much awaited Aloe Book arrived yesterday.
I haven't had much time to look through it yet, but it certainly looks fantastic. Lots of info and photos of species not often seen.
A great job done by Colin and all the others involved.
Thanks
Aloenut
