He left his mark across the pond as well. He will be missed. I will miss him.

I HAVE ACTUALLY DONE IT!!!

I was so surprised to see it in flower this morning!

Here it is!

To say I’m ecstatic is an understatement
Just beautiful, Diane! And quite unusual. Does it have a scent?

Re: I love a good root

Beautiful looking roots!! Is this a good time to repot, especially the alstonii in flower? I have quite a few pots that are just rock solid. I'm afraid to pull them out and have a look at them. Also, it is not easy finding very long, deep pots that are not too wide as well.

Re: Two of these things are not like the others

Have you grown it? Mine are all over the place. Some started flowering at less than 3 years old, others are still tiny. Appearance is also quite variable, as you might expect from a hybrid. No, I haven't grown that one. In fact I have lost a number of my Lithops. Our temperature has been extremely ...

iann wrote: Fri Jul 03, 2020 4:59 pm That's it. I think the little one is the same as the big one. I think its very likely they're both Dinterops 'Stones Throw' since that was sown at the same time.
So all I get is extra kudos. Best offer I've been given in some time. I'll take it!

Re: Two of these things are not like the others

The "easy to spot" is in the lower left and could be L. dinterops
The other is smaller and 2/3 rds up just above it a bit. Also L. dinterops but younger?

I too am on my first wave. I don't know how Ian does it. And wouldn't you know it, it is one of Ian's.

Re: Gasteria ID

One of the 6 plants flowered and this what it looks like today, just over 5 years later. There is quite a leaf colour variance between the 6 plants I have. It will be interesting to see if the flower will be different.
