Re: Dactylopsis from seed

I am gladly surprised by the evolution of both species, particularly in the case of Dactylopsis because I have done nothing special apart from respecting the growth/rest cycle. My climatic conditions, with mild and sunny winters, seem to be very good for these plants. They also seem to like my stand...

Re: Pleispilos simulans

Terry, the same occurs with Lithops, my plants are on average among the last flowering ones all over Europe. This probably occurs because summers are very long, with night temperatures not dropping noticeably till the end of September. The seeds of these simulans came from Mesa Garden (Klipplaat). I...

Re: Second wave of Lithops

Here we have had a heat wave at the end of August/beginning of September, with the result that some pseudotruncatella and gracilidelineata which were with tiny buds aborted. Still, some were able to flower after three weeks paralysed

Re: Lithops lesliei F123C

Thank you very much for commenting on this. I have contacted Frik du Plooy and he says me that F123C is from plants he received from DT Cole in 1990, who was not sure of the locality. Frik found similar plants in the Douglas area, but cannot be sure that F123C was originally collected there. If you ...

Lithops lesliei F123C

Hi! I am trying to organize my Lithops collection and I can't find information about a lesliei I bought some years ago in Atomic Plants. The plant came labelled as "Lithops lesliei ex Cole coll. F123C". May anyone please provide further info?

Re: Aloinopsis acuta

Thank you very much Catherine, very interesting, I had never looked for an Aloinopsis in such a place! I have noticed that they are fast growers, perhaps as an adaption to such a seasonal habitat. The picture of the plants with flowers shows that in spite of the small size of the vegetative part the...
