If the fertiliser is non-organic (one of the many powdered varieties) I would have thought you could microwave the mixture with fertiliser added without any ill effects. I thought that I would post a little update :) Out of the 18 pots, 12 now have seedlings. The first one to come through was Opuntia Basillaris. I'm mostly excited about the Tephrocactus Geometricus (two so far) and Copiapoa Gigantea (one) seedlings so I hope more of these will spring up with time :)...

Very much looking forward to it :) I commute for over an hour each way to work on daily basis so another two hours total spent getting there and bank won't be an issue for me :mrgreen:

Another thing is light, others may have a different experience but personally I struggle to grow cactae well in places other than windowsills (house wise) and even some of those don't get enough light. Therefore if it would be placed on a tabletop deeper into the house, unless you have an artificial...
