David was always very helpful as I ran the slide and digital programmes library over the years, and was a good friend of Oxford Branch.

I hope that you fare better than we did on Monday. Caught the 3pm P&O from Calais (sailed at 5.30 - probably the last one that day), and joined a queue of five ferries waiting to get into Dover. At first it was taking an hour to get a boat docked, but after a four-hour wait things improved a bit...
