Many thanks for all the help and suggestions and also naming this poor plant.I will continue giving TLC and take off cuts next spring as suggested.

ID please. Thankyou for the advice on the ephylls . This photo is the cactus I was given.It looks like it has a large swollen raspberry in the middle of the plants.Brown and flaky underneath,and now new green shoots are starting to appear. Would I be best advised to rescue and replant the offshoots ...

Hi no I know it's not any epip it's the cacti I mentioned that I had been given that was rather dilapidated .I do not know what it is.
I have an epip for a number of years but kept it in my porch.its the first time I have off shoots in the greenhouse. Will try and get bigger picture.

I think a photo might appear.fingers crossed it should be the cacti with the large red area like a raspberry and quite swollen.

No they are not flower buds .The areas are on the tips of the cuttings.I believe they are new shoots.i would give a picture but having trouble getting the forum to except the file size.But am working on it.

Pink shoots on epiphyllum cacti
I have new shoots on my epiphyllum off cuts which are pink/red in colour and a echeveria glauca has a pink tinge to it. I did have shading over the greenhouse but have took it down and put UV stablised bubble all round.would this have caused this problem. I understood you could have bubble all year ...

I have notice a slight pinky colour on the stem of my orbiera variegated and the new shoots on my epiphyllum is this caused by stress? I have UV stablished large bubble all over the 8x6 greenhouse with 2 openers and door is left open all day. Is there a cure for this? I did just have green shading b...
