Heres a 3 pin plug thermostat at a reasonable price & it states is 'Suitable for heaters up to 3600w' It's a potential snag of this type that the temperature is measured at device location, ie at the supply socket. This may not be at bench level where you really want temperature measured. Bette...

Sure an external digital thermostat can be used to control accurately the Simplicity heater. BUT not that Inkbird, which is brilliant (I have one) but it only has a 10 amp rating which is fine for a 2kw heater but NOT a 3kw. I,d assumed that, like me, most folks grow or sow under lights with a time switch, so that shouldn't be a problem?

Lithops seed should give quite high germination rates, so what I might do is get cracking sowing lithops now, and sow more/others after you get some decent germination results and have a bit of confidence in your setup.
