Copiapoas do seed well and can scatter themselves in pots around the greenhouse. It's almost impossible to identify most types until they are quite a few years old. I had so many seedlings marked 'found in pot with Copiapoa xxxx or Fero xxxx' or whatever. So you might have a really nice plant that y...

Still too dear, corking, could be poor cultivation to date. It's big but not good. As the sign says, do not touch!

I have often wondered whether bed bug spray, one of the Raid group of domestic miticides or Avi-mite aviary liquid may be worth trying. Just not got round to trying them.

I used to live in Lancashire and I did then as I do now - open all roof lights, wall louvres and doors in the Spring and leave them open until October. Ventilation is the key combined (as Nick states) with good compost drainage. I can't see any reason to close the door if it's raining. It will just ...

Nice to see one of my old friends again, Ray. I had that plant for well over 20 years. Your record keeping is meticulous. Seeing my name on the label was quite a surprise!
