Re: Shopping in Spanish garden centre #3

Thanks for feedback, all is very helpful! I'm always uneasy about buying un-labelled plants from non-specialist outlets - but in the face of long rows of exotic plants costing nearly nothing, how could I not?! I'm sorry to say that the cacti were even more plentiful & cheap, but that is not my i...

Shopping in Spanish garden centre #3

Finally, at fear of testing my wife's patience and bursting my suitcase, another €12 purchase.

Ponytail palm /
Beaucarnea recurvata? Or so my type of Yukka? New area to me, but worth a risk.

This was €12, looks like a possible Adenium to my untrained eye. Staff said something like Adeplphi, but this returns no results on the Interweb.

I was particularly looking for one of these, as growth rate in the UK is a little slow...

Re: Sedumbook

Snap! Somehow I have two of these books.

I heard there was a second edition in colour, but I must have got that wrong, because I can't find it.

Holiday in Spain

Hi, I don't usually do social media re. holidays - but I've just arrived at a villa in Spain, and the garden has some very attractive mature succulents. Close to Almeria - perfect climate! Maybe an opportunity for a couple of cheeky cuttings...!

Re: Genus? Species?

Diane, thank you, I never suspected that it was the same genus as my manginii...I can see likeness now, a little.

I am also starting to greatly appreciate your knowledge - thanks again..

Genus? Species?

Hi all, I took 4 of these cuttings from a 'houseplant' a year ago. It's clearly a succulent, thick leathery leaves, easy to propogate from cuttings. The peach flowers have been going on for months, otherwise I would have discarded them. Now they are multiplying in my GH and on my daughters' window s...
