I don't know the conditions you are growing your plant in, but first with that Corynopuntia and now with this Pterocactus I do find it slightly freaky how different plants of the same clone seem to go in sync... :???: Here is my plant, in flower yesterday following a thorough spring prune: 481107514...

It's beginner's luck for me, Tony! I got a cutting of a different C. moelleri from Stuart Estell years back - he did say it was a nice plant, but I shouldn't expect to see flowers on it... That's exciting! I have the same plant coming to flower for the first time - with just two buds, though.

What is the minimum you keep it in the winter? It is one of those plants that look good year round, a firm favourite of mine.
