Somebody said ‘There’s only one DE’
This statement isn’t really true in this context as the powdered form and the granulated form (eg used in cat litter) have different properties.

Re: Pachyphytum or Pachyveria id please
A photo of my plant for comparison. It survived last winter outside on my patio in a container so it's fairly hardy.

Re: Pachyphytum or Pachyveria id please
This looks very much like a plant I bought at a garden centre a couple of years ago. It was labelled Pachyphytum Dark Red, clearly a false name. I think I have subsequently identified it as this plant: http://www.crassulaceae.ch/de/artikel?akID=177&aaID=2&aiID=B&aID=1265 Pachyveria 'Blue...

Re: Are delosperma classed as succulents ....?
Lovely, succulent plants! I find they get eaten by birds if put outside. Does anyone else have this problem? Mike Yes I do have this problem also. I had a lovely Delosperma in a large pot on the pavement at the front of my house where I grow a few succulents. Over the winter it got completely pecke...

Re: Echeveria id's (if possible)
I think number 2 is Echeveria 'Fabiola' (E. purpusorum x E. derenbergii)

Re: Aeonium velour
Hi Jane, I have no choice really, the plant has got too big and heavy to move, besides, I don't have a conservatory or greenhouse to move it to. I shelter some of my plants in a cold frame but this one has got too big - it will have to stay in that spot for the remainder of it's days! I got the plan...

Re: Aeonium velour
Just snapped this photo of my A. Velour, it's been outside on my patio all winter soaking up as much rain as we get. I protected it with a fleece bag during 'the beast from the east'.

Re: Aloe[?] ID (from WW2 - old picture)
How hardy is A. ferox?
Saw one for sale recently and wondered if it has any chance of surviving in a sheltered spot in a garden on the south coast.

Re: Intergeneric Echeveria hybrids for ID + an Echeveria and a Dudleya
i have a plant that looks like your 1st picture, graptopetalum paraguayense minor I saw a plant labelled G. paraguayense minor for sale at a garden centre last summer, I picked up a fallen leaf which I propagated, then by chance this spring I planted it (plant 1) in a bowl next to a cutting of Grap...

Re: Echeveria ID please
Hi juster, the same thing has happened to me. A plant I bought last summer labelled as E. chihuahuaensis has just produced the same yellow flowers. My plant looks the same as yours, wonder if they came form the same place? I got mine at the Sussex Zone show.
